Viewing your Monitor

You can view your monitor with the latest information using the menu or from a dashboard.

From the Monitor window, you can:

• Change the orientation of labels
• Refresh the view
• Drill down on the results
• Edit the settings
• Print the monitor contents
• Copy the graph
• Delete the monitor
• Set additional graph options

Changing the orientation of the labels

If the label of a graph bar displays upside down or vertically:

1. Click in the space between the label and the bar line to change the orientation by 90 degrees.
2. Repeat until the label is displayed in your preferred orientation. This setting is now saved for the next time you view the monitor.

Refreshing a Monitor

Monitors refresh at predefined intervals. However, you can refresh the details at any time by selecting .

Copying a Graph in your Monitor

You can copy the graph displayed on the monitor into the clipboard, to use in applications outside vFire Core.

1. Display the monitor, if it is not already on screen.

   1. Select and then Dashboards.
   2. From the submenu, select Monitors to display a list of your monitors.
   3. Select the monitor you want to view to see it displayed in a window.

   If your monitor appears in a dashboard, it may be displayed automatically, or can be viewed by opening the dashboard.

2. Select . Nothing appears to have happened but the graph is now copied into the clipboard memory as a bitmap (image) file.
3. Open the application in which you wish to use the image, and paste the file in the normal way.

Drilling down from a Monitor

1. Once you have a monitor open you can drill down into a result in either of the following ways:
   • Double-click on the column, line or pie section (depending on the kind of graph or chart you are viewing) corresponding to the data you want to analyze.
   • Right click anywhere on the monitor outside the graph and select a section of data you wish to examine. (This does not work for bar or pie graphs.)
2. The Monitor Drill Down window is displayed. The information will depend on the type of data that was in the monitor.
3. From here, you can sort the data by clicking on the arrow at the end of the column header and selecting from the sort options available. You can also carry out any of the following, using the toolbar buttons.

4. Select	To...
   	View a specific entry on the browse table
   	Review a specific entry on the browse table
   	Refresh the display
   	Add a note to a selected entry
   	Change the data that is displayed
   	Generate a report for the selected item(s). Select this button to open another window with the report details.
   	Print the contents of the monitor

If you are drilling down on a monitor from a dashboard which is being displayed in a separate window outside vFire Core, the results will still display on a Monitor Drill Down window within vFire Core.
